Wildest Dreams was originally seen at the Everyman, Cheltenham on September 20 1960 where it played for a short season and subsequently toured.

The production was directed by Nicholas Garland, with choreography by Basil Pattison and settings by Brian Currah. At the pianos were Julian Slade and John Daley, with Geoffrey Downs (double bass) and Peter Colburt (percussion).

Following the run at the Vaudeville Theatre a new production of Wildest Dreams was mounted for a tour. The leading players were Roberta Huby (as Harriet Gray), Gillian Royale (as Carol Arden), Tony Adams (as Mark Raven) and Ben Aris (as Stephen Bent).

For the Cheltenham production, the running order of songs as listed in the programme was as heard in London, but 'Zoom, Zoom, Zoom' is not listed and is replaced by 'There's A Place We Know', now heard as a duet for Stephen and Harriet. 'There's A Place We Know' was also performed in Act II, sung by 'Butcher, Builder and Soldier'. Reverting to the running order of the pre-London tour, 'This Man Loves You' preceded the duet 'When You're Not There'.
